In any style
The stained glass we make for you will begin with a one-off design which meets your brief and suits the chosen building.
We do not impose a “studio-style” on the work we do for you except that we will do it well. (There are good modern designs for old buildings; and there are good traditional designs for modern buildings.)
And the cost?
First, we must understand what you want. You are not the same as other clients; nor is your home or office or church the same as theirs.
Although the raw materials can be expensive, cost depends largely on the work involved. When we know what you want, we can establish the amount of work and thus the cost to make it for you.
Now, other studios produce ready-made ex-catalogue windows; that is their niche.
Here we design and make one-off stained glass windows, doors, lights and skylights in whatever style works best.
There’s a gallery here, and many examples right right below.
Styles of glass painting
Stained glass in any style.
For example, here is a detail from a traditional memorial piece we made:
Another time, a client asked for something from the Fibonacci Sequence, hence the spiral lead-lines:
A different client mentioned J.M.W. Turner and the “majesty of the fading day”:
Here the client wanted a sculpture for his mantelpiece, incorporating three painted owls:
A modern window for a large bedroom window that overlooked an ancient wood:
A different client wanted two wall-lights like this one here:
Or consider these traditional windows for Polebrook Hall:
And this landing window for a crime novelist – here’s part of it:
A family crest:
One section (out of five) from a massive abstract window:
Another abstract window, this one referencing a local myth about a mermaid and a jackdaw:
The point is: different styles for different clients for different buildings.
That’s why we don’t have a catalogue; it is always a case of designing then making a window which fits your brief and looks perfect in your chosen building.
